UNIFORM & Badges
Uniform
Cubs may wear a dark green sweatshirt , for summer wear a green T-shirt with a Group scarf (often called a necker) and a woggle in the colour of their Six.
At their Investiture they are given a number of badges to be sewn on their uniform one of which is the County / District badge which all members of the Group wear.
And as they progress on their journey in Scouting they are awarded Activity and Challenge badges , culminating in the highest award that a Cub can gain, the Chief Scout Silver Award.
Uniform and other clothing items can be purchased............ Scout shop
The picture below shows the positioning of these, and other badges they may earn. Any question about uniform, please speak to any of the Leaders who would be more than happy to help.
The Scout Association website gives lots of details on the other badges children can earn during their time with the Cub Scouts. These are usually earned during the many and varied activities that take place during the programmed sessions. The activities build on a variety of skills already learnt in Beavers and encourage Cubs to learn, work independently and as part of a group, in a relaxed environment helping them develop their confidence further.
