UNIFORM & Badges

      Uniform

Beaver Scouts may wear a turquoise sweatshirt and for summer wear a turquoise T-shirt.

A Group scarf,   (often called a Necker) and a maroon woggle , or one of another colour which       identifies their Lodge or team.

At their Investiture they are given their Group scarf , a number of  badges to be sewn on their uniform one of which is the County / District badge which all members of the Group wear.

And as they progress on their journey in Scouting they are awarded Activity and Challenge badges , culminating in the highest award that a Beaver can gain, the Chief Scout Bronze Award.

The  Scout Association website  gives lots of details on the other badges children can earn during their time with the Beavers.  These are usually earned during the many and varied activities that take place during the sessions.  The activities build on a variety of skills and encourage Beavers to learn, work independently and as part of a group, in a relaxed environment helping them develop confidence.  In fact, most of the children don't even realise they are learning as they are having so much fun!
